Pikachu's Vacation is a 22-minute animated short that appeared before Mewtwo Strike's Back in theatres. It was something aimed more towards younger audiences, but was indeed different from the average Pokemon cartoon. Rather than following our main pokemon trainers, Pikachu's Vacation follows a day in the life of the pokemon in the wild. Ash, Misty, and Brock decided it was time for their pokemon to get a little r&r, and so left them at a "pokemon park" for a day. During the visit, a group of obnoxious pokemon, consisting of a Raichu, a Cubone, and two new pokemon, Marril and Snubbles, began laughing and yelling, and woke up Togepi from its nap. Pikachu tried to quiet the group. The pokemon weren't about to be ordered around, however, and a fight broke out. From here, we see how pokemon behave on their own. Squirtle tries to race Marrill to settle the argument, then Raichu and Pikachu get into a "fight" of their own. In the end, the pokemon park is destroyed from the fight and all the pokemon must work together to rebuild it.  ���  ���
