Gym Leaders

����� Most large cities have an official Pokemon League Gym. These Gyms specify in specific element-types of pokemon. Each Gym has a Gym Leader and members. Pokemon trainers are allowed to challenge a Gym Leader and, should they win, the Gym Leader will give them the Gym's official Badge. All of these Gyms have been approved by the Pokemon League.





Pewter City
He's a Player���Brock

����� Young, 14-year-old Brock is the leader of the Pewter City Gym. He is a master of rock-type pokemon. Brock possesses a great knowledge of pokemon, so he is brutal in battle. It is best to use a bug, grass, water, or fighting pokemon against him.

Japanese Name: Takeshi

Why does she follow Ash so much?���Misty

����� Misty is the youngest Gym Leader, only 12-years-old, but don't be fooled. She specializes in water-type pokemon. Misty's Starmie really eats up pokemon. The aquatic princess won't be easy to beat. You can make this battle go quickly with grass or electric-type pokemon.

����� The Vermilion Gym favors electric-type pokemon. Lieutenant Surge was in a war a long time ago, and his electric pokemon saved him. Since then, he has built up to being an excellent Gym Leader. It is best to use ground or grass-type pokemon against him.

����� Erika's Gym is just filled with grass pokemon. Erika is a quiet, shy woman, but you quickly discover her collection of pokemon is not easy to defeat. Her pokemon can easily paralyze, poison, or put to sleep your pokemon. Fire and bug pokemon can blow these plant pokemon away.

����� The Saffron Gym is the training center of psychic pokemon. Sabrina and her psychic pokemon are epecially dangerous. Be careful, one psybeam could knock out your pokemon! it is difficult to say which pokemon to use against it, but don't use poison, rock, ground, or fighting-types.

����� The Fuchsia Gym uses pokemon with sleep and poison attacks, or psychic and poison-types. Because of this, you'll have to be careful. Koga is a pokemon ninja master, so he attacks with great speed. Carry psychic pokemon with you for this guy.

����� The forgotten Cinnabar Gym is home to fire pokemon lovers. Blaine is a bit of a mad scientist, and you'll have to either answer a riddle or battle a trainer to get to him. His pokemon have highly powerful attacks, so be wary. Use water or rock pokemon, but not ice!

����� This Gym's Leader was missing until recently... Probably off doing some odd jobs. I'll keep his identity secret, since this is probably the only real surprise in the game (although not much of one :). This Gym specializes in ground-type pokemon, so use water, grass, or bug types against them.
